The Master's degree consists of two years of study leading to the award of a diploma recognized in France and internationally. The second year of the Master's program (M2) includes an internship that allows for professional immersion.
The choice of the M2 internship is linked to the student's professional project: integration into companies, industries, international organizations, continuation with doctoral training (in a public research unit or a CIFFRE contract), initiation into managing a scientific research project, etc.
Students at Oniris, both from the veterinary and engineering programs, can directly enter the second year of the Master's (M2 year, 60 ECTS) for advanced studies. They have the opportunity to earn a double diploma.
University students must complete their M1 before being able to access M2. International students can enter M2 if they demonstrate sufficient academic level (M1 level).
With its expertise in education and research, Oniris is a key player in regional academic partnerships: alongside Nantes University, Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, Institut Mines Télécom, University of Angers, and University of Rennes 1, the institution contributes to 7 M2 programs in 5 fields.
Oniris students, whether engineers or veterinarians, can combine a Master's degree with their main studies in their final year to gain dual skills.
Choosing a Master's also provides an opportunity to explore careers in research and development, and possibly prepare for a PhD. It's also a chance to interact with students from diverse backgrounds (university, international, professional through continuing education) and access international programs.
Selective Admission, based on application review and interview (English proficiency required for international programs).
