Equality, the fight against all forms of violence, and VSS

• All Oniris VetAgroBio students participate in a 2-hour awareness session on what a VSS is, led by the CDIFF. They receive a certificate of completion, which is required to participate in orientation and social events the following year.
• Club officials receive a 3-hour training session from Hally to learn how to handle a VSS.
• The students received CVEC funding to bring in a sexual and gender-based violence prevention organization—comprising psychologists and/or lawyers specializing in the care of victims of sexual and gender-based violence—to the WEIEN event, which took place in Maine-et-Loire on Easter weekend 2025.

Are you interested in fighting gender-based and sexual violence? Join the Safe Team!

The Safe Team consists of students from Oniris VetAgroBio who have been trained by the Hally association to protect their peers from situations of violence. Here are their day-to-day responsibilities:

• Raise awareness among other students about gender-based and sexual violence, and implement prevention initiatives.
• Act as a guardian angel at student events such as parties; easily identifiable by a distinctive colored badge, they can be called upon on the spot to intervene and protect potential victims.
• Act as a mediator in cases of confirmed violence (working with security guards, Oniris staff, the police, etc.).
