Please note! Oniris VetAgroBio has two training sites:
The Veterinary Campus in Nantes, Chantrerie site, is the main location for veterinary training as well as certain master's and doctoral programmes.
The Engineering Campus in Nantes, Géraudière site, is the main location for engineering and technician training as well as certain master's and doctoral programmes.
Oniris VetAgroBio does not offer accommodation on its training sites. However, on the Engineering campus at La Géraudière, Le C.R.O.U.S. has an agreement with Oniris VetAgroBio to provide the school with 100 18m² studio flats and 6 36m² three-bedroom flats for shared accommodation in a residence located in the immediate vicinity of the campus (Madeleine Bres Residence).
Regardless of their course of study, students who are not eligible for university accommodation will have to find accommodation in private residences in Nantes (private studio flats, rooms in private homes, shared flats, etc.).
Students can consult the Oniris VetAgroBio Training Services for accommodation offers from private individuals or estate agents specialising in student accommodation.
Located close to the engineering campus at La Géraudière, it comprises 236 accommodation units with shower rooms and kitchenettes, including 192 studios and 44 two-bedroom flats, and 52 surface parking spaces. Two common rooms and a laundry room are also available to residents.
The residence is managed by the C.R.O.U.S. in Nantes, which provides Oniris VetAgroBio with 135 rooms, including 123 studios and 10 three-room flats for shared accommodation.
This applies to:
Accommodation:
Priority is given to students receiving means-tested grants and new arrivals. However, within the accommodation quota made available to Oniris VetAgroBio, students who do not receive grants may be allocated accommodation (provided they do not exceed a certain income threshold – tax assessment required).
In order to promote international mobility and encourage exchanges within the framework of institutional partnerships (double degrees and Erasmus exchanges in particular), a quota of 23 accommodation units will be specifically reserved for international students.
All students applying for accommodation must first have submitted a Student Social File (DSE) on the CROUS website within the required time frame (whether they are grant holders or not).
Next, applications for accommodation at this residence should be made directly to:
The Engineering-TS Training Department for French students
The International Relations Department for international students (accompanied by your registration file)
For more information and to find out about prices, follow this link.
Given the distance from the Chantrerie site, veterinary students are encouraged to look for accommodation closer to the veterinary site.
