Oniris VetAgroBio has a strong international focus and requires all students, veterinarians, engineers and master's students to spend time abroad during their studies, either as part of an academic semester or a professional internship, for periods ranging from 4 weeks to 6 months.
Oniris VetAgroBio is open to the world and has developed special partnerships, particularly in South America (Brazil and Argentina), thanks to the ARFAGRI, BRAFAGRI and ARFITEC programmes. These programmes have enabled numerous student exchanges, both in the veterinary and engineering fields. For the latter, Oniris VetAgroBio offers three double degrees with ESALQ and FZEA at the University of São Paulo (USP) and with the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Fifty-five students have obtained double degrees since 2010 (39 Brazilians and 16 French).

The BRAFAGRI programme enables students from French higher education agricultural schools (engineering or veterinary courses) and students from Brazilian universities studying agronomy to take part in academic mobility programmes in the other country. Selected students attend courses for one or two semesters at a partner university. They receive a grant to cover their travel expenses. Exchanges between teaching and research staff are also encouraged and supported, provided they contribute directly to the implementation of the planned programme.
Since 2015, the Arfagri programme has enabled the development of the same type of exchange with Argentina.

The ARFITEC programme is based on the concept of academic cooperation projects, developed jointly by French and Argentine higher education institutions responsible for training engineers in both countries.
This programme is overseen by a joint Franco-Argentine steering committee in which the authorities of both countries are represented. On the Argentine side, the programme is implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. On the French side, it is implemented by the French ministries responsible for Europe and foreign affairs on the one hand, and higher education and research on the other, with the support of the French Embassy in Argentina and the CDEFI.

AgreenMob is a shared recruitment system for engineering students developed by member schools of the Agreenium Alliance in partnership with Senegalese universities and schools: École Supérieure Polytechnique de l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar ESP-UCAD), Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis (UGB), Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agriculture in Thiès (ENSA, part of Iba Der Thiam University in Thiès), Ecole Polytechnique de Thiès (EPT) and Université Assane-Seck de Ziguinchor (UASZ).
This programme was set up in 2019 with the support of the Directorate-General for Education and Research (Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty). It enables the mobility of Senegalese Master's 1 students from partner Senegalese institutions whose programmes are compatible with the 4th and 5th years of engineering courses offered in France.
AgreenMob is supported by the Senegalese Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, which awards scholarships for excellence to admitted students; by the French Embassy in Senegal through scholarships awarded to several students by the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service, and by the European Union through an Erasmus+ programme that provides financial assistance to students wishing to study in France. In the latter case, this is possible if it is a supervised mobility programme, i.e. the student continues their studies in France while remaining enrolled at their home institution in Senegal, which recognises the training completed in France.
