The initial veterinary courses, based on clinical activities and research, aim at training veterinarians who are high-level biologists and pathologists practising a wide range of activities in the fields of animal health, public health and food safety.
Food Science and Engineering graduates are involved in conducting experiments and producing sample products, as well as designing the processes and machinery for producing food and drink products in large quantities with consistent flavor, color, and texture.

Given the wide range in research options for both the Food Science & Engineer and Veterinary programs, Oniris is co-accredited with the Universities of Nantes and Rennes I for Masters Degrees in Biology, Medical and Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering Sciences, and Food and Chemical Engineering.
ONIRIS offers internal admission for the students on this cursus to pursue their studies on the Professional Degree programme or on the Engineering Programme.
The University Veterinary Hospital is a teaching medium for post graduate courses. Oniris offers three internship programmes.
Developing an international culture is a major objective. Therefore the school leads a variety of actions involving the whole Oniris community.
